For more information see: www.montessoriacademy.com.au The Role As a 2IC, you are responsible for supporting the Nominated Supervisor/Centre Manager in the day-to-day leadership and management of the service. You provide guidance, support and general supervision to children, educators, and volunteers, ensuring a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all. You are expected to support the Centre Manager to lead a team of Educators, ensuring practices align with the service philosophy, policies and procedures, and the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Quality Standards (NQS). You will assist with programming, compliance, staff performance and family engagement to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and care for all enrolled children. Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all enrolled children, staff, and volunteers at the service Train and support the staff in understanding, designing, and implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Montessori Curriculum Provide ongoing support and assistance to the Centre Manager in all areas of administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, and any other areas as the need arises Promote the service and ensure optimal centre occupancy Key Competencies Strong understanding of industry legislation, compliance and regulations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment Strong understanding of the importance of family communications Leadership and mentoring skills Curriculum planning skills Passionate about implementing early learning programs Essential Criteria 1 years' experience in a similar role Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (approved by ACECQA) or working towards this qualification Current Working with Children Check Ability to work shifts between 7:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Benefits for the Right Candidate Lucrative salary commensurate with experience Excellent career advancement opportunities Fantastic training and development programs Supportive Management Team with a flat organisational structure Strong focus on work-life-balance Great company culture that is fun, professional, and supportive of all team members Think you have what it takes to join the Montessori Academy Team?
